NACAL 35

The 35th meeting of the North American Conference on Afroasiatic Linguistics (NACAL 35) has been held in San Antonio, Texas from March 16 to March 18, 2007.

Thirty-six scholars gave papers on topics relating to the Afroasiatic language phylum. Sectional topics included Northwest Semitic (Hebrew and Aramaic), Arabic, Amharic, Egyptian, Cushitic and Omotic, Language Contact, and the History of Scholarship.

Hermann Jungraithmayr presented a paper on “The Semitoid Nature of Mubi (Chadic)”.
