5th International Conference on Cushitic and Omotic languages

The following message was sent to us the other day:

Dear Colleagues,

We have the pleasure to announce the

5^th International Conference on Cushitic and Omotic languages

to be held in Paris from Wednesday 16th to Friday 18th April 2008.

This conference will be the fifth one in a series which started in Köln/Bonn in 1986 and continued in Torino in 1990, Berlin in 1994, and Leiden in 2003.

The theme of the conference will be recent developments in all linguistic aspects of Cushitic and Omotic languages, preferably from a descriptive point of view. Twenty-two years after the first conference, contributions on the state of the arts in one language, or a branch, or a sub-branch of these languages, will be also most welcome. Students in Masters and PhD programs are particularly encouraged to present their researches.
